Khuli Chana Recalls Scary Encounter With The SAPS & How He Almost Died

No one out there would want to be a victim of mistaken identity. But life happened, and people find themselves as victims and wish what happened didn’t. That is the case with South African rapper Khuli Chana.

In a recent interview, the songster detailed how the South African Police Services (SAPS) shot him due to mistaken identity. That he survived to tell the tale is a reason for gratitude because not everyone who has had a similar encounter has lived to tell the story.

In the rapper’s case, two members of the SAPS shot and injured him in 2013 in Midrand just outside a gas station. According to Kuli Cgana, he was on his way to Pretoria and was attacked by the cops soon after leaving the garage in what has been a case of mistaken identity.

The police were in an unmarked vehicle and followed him. The next thing he heard was multiple gunshots. He was injured and had to be taken to the hospital. The following day, his face was all over the news, and he was accused of attempted murder.

He noted that he was lucky to have a competent law firm to represent him during the case, where he ultimately emerged victorious.
