Killer of Nicki Minaj’s Father Surrenders To The Police

The driver who hit and killed Nicki Minaj’s father and then ran away has handed himself over to the police.

Robert Maraj was taking a walk down a street in New York on Friday 12 February when Charles Pavelovich, 70, hit him with his car (a Volvo, 1992 model), came down and asked Robert if he was okay. He then fled from the scene.

Mr Maraj was rushed to the hospital, where he died a day later.

The police began a manhunt for Charles after the accident. According to TMZ, the manhunt has ended, Charles having handed himself to the authorities.

Charles has since been charged with two felonies. The first is for leaving the scene of Robert Maraj’s death and the second is for tampering with evidence against him.

Mr Pavelovich has been forbidden from leaving New York, his passport taken by the authorities. His bail has been set at $250,000.

Following the announcement of Robert’s death, condolence messages have been pouring in from around the world for Nicki Minaj and her family. Celebs and ordinary folk alike have shared messages of sympathy with the songstress and her family.
