SKIMS owner Kim Kardashian has excitedly announced her reunion with fashion brand Balenciaga after the infamous controversy surrounding their campaign in 2022.
According to recent reports, reality star Kim Kardashian has been named the brand ambassador for Balenciaga. Recall that the billionaire Kardashian severed ties with the luxury fashion house two years ago due to a controversial campaign.
Kim K denounced the fashion brand’s holiday ad campaign and criticized it for featuring child models alongside fetish imagery. She said the disturbing images of the fashion campaign shook her.
She said, “As a mother of four, I have been shaken by the disturbing images. The safety of children must be held with the highest regard, and any attempts to normalize child abuse of any kind should have no place in our society—period.”
After much backlash against the advertisement, Balenciaga removed the controversial campaign and issued an apology.
Kim K has now been announced as the new ambassador for the brand, reuniting with them after two years. The star said about the partnership,
“For me, this long-standing relationship is built on mutual trust and a commitment to doing what’s right. I’m excited about this next chapter for the brand and to become their ambassador.”
