Kwesta On His Happiness & Success In The Music Industry

Kwesta might be a successful rapper, but he still has question on whether he’s as fulfilled emotionally now that he is out there and appears close to his dreams.

This personal puzzlement forms part of the theme of one of the songs (“Who I Am”) in his recently released “god GULUVA” album. And Kwesta himself spoke about the song, and its theme, in a recent interview with Pan African Magazine.

On the song, speaking to the magazine, he had wondered out aloud: “Am I who I wanted to be when I got here? All my stuff is successful, but am I really content and happy?”

Easily one of the mos successful rappers in South Africa, Kwesta  consolidates his grip on the industry with his latest album. On the album, he revealed that it shows the his evolution as a person and a musician. The cover art of the compilation is pretty symbolic as it shows someone leaving the township in quest for a better life.

By the way, the songster has been deluged with controversies of recent, with his former manager Nota Baloyi accusing him of embezzling funds of the record label he, Kwesta, and another friend founded.

Kwesta recently addressed the issue in a Twitter thread, stating that he takes responsinility for the failure of some of his relationships.
