‘Law and Order’ Star Richard Belzer Dies At 78

“Law and Order” star Richard Belzer has died at 78 after battling a series of health issues. His last words were, “F*** you, mother******.”

Comic-turned actor Richard Belzer has reportedly passed on. Belzer previously survived testicular cancer. The actor was famous for playing detective John Munch on 11 hit TV shows, including “Homicide: Life On The Street,” “Law and Order: Special Victims Unit,” “X-Files,” and “The Wire.”

He died at his home in Bozouls, South West France, early on Sunday, February 19, 2023. In a statement to The Hollywood Reporter, writer Bill Scheft said, “his last words were ‘f**k you, motherf**ker.”

His death was first announced by former ‘Saturday Night Life’ comic Laraine Newman, who tweeted, “I’m so sad to hear about Richard Belzer’s passing. I loved this guy so much.” She revealed he was one of her friends when she got to New York to do ‘SNL.’ She called him “one of the funniest people ever” and a master at crowd work.
