After a brief lull, Big Brother Mzansi was reactivated. But who will be the host? About a dozen names had been bandied around but the show organizers have finally decided on Lawrence Maleka.
Maleka is a versatile creative who combines the world of acting and presenting beautifully. He’d played the role of Zolani on the hit 1Magic soapie The River. Also, at some point in his career, he was the host of Africa Magic Entertainment’s StarGist and Mzansi Magic’s Clash of the Choirs.
Shirly Adonis, who heads the Local Entertainment Channels at M-Net, is impressed with Maleka’s skills and talents. According to her, Maleka is a top talent with a brilliant and confident on-screen and stage presence.

With Maleka as host, she’s confident it’s going to be an exciting new season for Big Brother Mzansi viewers, who she implored to tune in.
By the way, when the return of Big Brother Mzansi was announced, a frenzy of excitement gripped South Africans, with many expressing the hope that celebs and other famous faces will not colonize the list of those who will make it to the Big Brother Mzansi house.
