“Lemons Lemonade” – Stogie T Talks AKA’s Contribution To The Culture

South African rapper AKA might be dead, but his legacy is still very much alive, with his compatriots illuminating the same now and then. Fellow musician Stogie T has just highlighted after sharing the “Lemons (Lemonade)” sample from Busta Rhymes’s song.

Reflecting on AKA’s contributions to the culture, Stogie T noted that the slain rapper was not just a part of the culture but cared about it in a serious way. He ended up bidding AKA rest in peace.

AKA was shot dead at point-blank range on February 10, just after having a good time with his pals and associates at Wish Restaurant on Florida Road in Durban, Also killed with him was his former manager, Tebello “Tibz” Motsoane.

His death came just months after another celebrated musician, DJ Sumbody, was murdered. Both cases remained unsolved at the time of writing.

For AKA, his case is much fresher and there is an ongoing advocacy to ensure that his murderers are fished out and prosecuted. Death might have taken Kiernan but he is still very much alive in the hearts of his fans (the Megacy) and South Africans generally.

A breakthrough in the case is just what South Africans need right now. Would their dreams come to pass? Stay tuned.
