For South African actress Thuso Mbedu, it is one good fortune after the other, and she is luxuriating in this example of divine preferment. She has just snagged a brand Ambassador role with L’Oreal Paris and her compatriots, associates and fans have been showering her with congratulations ever since.
The French cosmetics brand announced her signing in a post on its official Instagram page, noting that the South African actress is now a “brand ambassador and spokesperson for L’Oréal Paris in the Sub-Saharan Africa region.” It has been raining congratulations ever since.
Viola Davis, a fellow actress, congratulated her and welcomed her to the family. Gail Mabalane, another notable figure, congratulated her as well, noting that Thuso Mbedu’s win was not just her own for other girls of colour around the world.
By the way, only last month, the South African actress had sealed a brand Ambassador deal with the Christian Dior Fragrance line called Gris Dior.
