Actress Lorraine Moropa is pretty excited right now. Well, who in her position wouldn’t be excited? She has just bagged a leading role in the upcoming biopic of the late Kwaito musician Tshabalal aka Mandoza.
Black Entertainment Television is releasing a biopic on the celebrated musician next month, and there is palpable excitement over the project. That’s understandable given how important Mandoza was to the Kwaito music scene until his death.
In the upcoming biopic, Moropa will feature alongside Wiseman Mncube (Mandoza). She will be playing Mandoza’s wife Mpho Tshabalala in the upcoming flick. This puts her in a prominent position just like her on-screen husband.
In a recent tweet, entertainment commentator Phil Mphela announced the addition of Moropa to the cast and the important role she would be playing.
Moropa is no newbie to the acting scene, having distinguished herself in several other films, including “The Wife.” It will be interesting to see how she will interpret her character in the upcoming biopic. “Nkalakatha: The Life of Mandoza” will be out around the second week of August
