Lottery Funds Probe: Arthur Mafokate Roasted Again For Showing Off His Farm

Arthur Mafokate remains somewhat defiant in the face of the investigation currently ongoing over his alleged appropriation of funds belonging to the National Lottery Commission (NLC) for personal use.

The kwaito veteran had been investigated over the same issue years ago, but it died down along the line. The case has been resurrected again, with investigators getting a court order to freeze some of his assets.

The 999 Records boss denied any wrongdoing and even erupted in tears a while back over the issue. But South Africans were unimpressed and some even accused him of shedding crocodile tears. Well. The muso appeared impervious to the criticisms and even shared a picture of him at his farm.

In the caption to the said picture, he had encouraged young people to hit the form, quoting from a recent projection that food shortage looms. South Africans had slammed him for the post, claiming he got the farm from the money he snagged from the NLC.

Clearly, the muso wasn’t bothered about the criticisms of his farm post. In fact, he release another photograph of him at his farm on February 5, which again elicited criticisms from South Africans, with some asking him to return “their” money.
