L’vovo Backs Zakes Bantwini For Minister Of Arts & Culture

Mzansi singer L’vovo Derrango has endorsed fellow muso Zakes Bantwini for the position of minister of arts and culture in South Africa.

Zakes Bantwini, who’s married to fellow singer Nandi Madida, made an unofficial pitch for the top political post and has been receiving support from his fans. L’vovo is the latest to show support for the “Your King” muso.

In a tweet on August 3, L’vovo has described the idea of Zakes Bantwini becoming South Africa’s minister of arts and culture as a dope idea. He didn’t mention his music colleague in the tweet, which has amassed over 800 likes on Twitter.

Zakes Bantwini is among the few politically conscious musicians in South Africa, and he’s unafraid to speak his mind on political issues in the country. Months back he had provoked controversy when he claimed that he knows at least 4 persons who died as a result of load shedding (in electricity distribution amid the snarl of coronavirus, with many peeps on ventilators).

Well, what do you think of Zakes Bantwini’s candidature for the position of minister of arts and culture in South Africa? You’re welcome to join the conversation by dropping your thoughts in the comment section below. Way to go!
