Lynn Forbes Chuffed By The Public’s Love For AKA On Creation Of Exclusive Merchandise

Lynn Forbes, the mother of the slain rapper Kiernan “AKA” Forbes is consumed and happy in the reality that her son was much loved when he was alive, and that love also continues in death.

This much has been obvious all along. but it holds a special symbolism now that the rapper is no more. This week is significant because it is when exclusive AKA art pieces and merchandise will be made available to the public.

Fans of the “Fela in Versace” rapper can pick all they want at Sook and Mall of Africa from Friday (January 26) until the late rapper’s birthday on Sunday.

The love so far has been impressive enough for Lynn to comment about it, pointing out that people love her son so much. There are no truer words. AKA’s stature seemingly expanded after his death.

The rapper was assassinated on February 10 last year, soon after stepping out of Wish Restaurant in the company of his friends and associates. A point-blank shot through the head ended a brilliant rap career.

An investigation has been opened into the case. But as the months crawl by without the police uncovering the killers, South Africans are losing faith in the ability of the police to do their job.
