M-Net Releases Official Trailer For Forthcoming Mini-series “White Lies” Starring Brendon Daniels and G.O.T Star Natalie Dormer

The official trailer for the forthcoming Mini-series “White Lies,” Starring Brendon Daniels and G.O.T Star Natalie Dormer, has been released by M-Net.

Popular South African actor Brendon Daniels stars alongside Game of Thrones star Natalie Dormer in the forthcoming crime drama mini-series White Lies. M-Net released the trailer for the series on Monday, February 19.

According to the show’s written description, “Journalist Edie Hansen (Dormer) gets caught up in the Cape’s ugly underworld after her brother is murdered in the wealthy neighbourhood of Bishopscourt in Cape Town’s southern suburbs.”

It continues, “Dragged back into her tumultuous childhood, Edie’s investigation soon puts her at loggerheads with veteran detective Forty Bell (Daniels). [This] forces her to grapple with the crumbling local police force, a corrupt political system, and the secretive world of extreme wealth.”

“White Lies” plot is centered on themes of crime, drugs, social inequality, power, and privilege. It also stars actors Daniel Janks, Daniel Schultz, Morgan Santo, Lee Roodt, Chi Mhende, Athenkosi Mfamela, and Warrick Grier.

A press release for the series reads, “The story (of White Lies) dissects an inward-looking, affluent community, structured around a very personal psychological and emotional journey, in the vein of binge-able shows like Big Little Lies and Sharp Objects.”
