Podcast host MacG is a man unafraid to speak his mind. Since his career began, he has made it a point to share his thoughts on subjects he felt strongly about. The outcomes haven’t been entirely good.
Just recently, he had spoken of how he had met a dead end trying to get”Wuz Dat” rapper Boity on his Podcast and Chill. Boity had been noncommittal when MacG asked when would show up for an interview. This had annoyed the podcast host and he ended up saying just about everyone out there has had coital experience with her.
This provoked some social media users, who denounced him as insensitive. Others accused him of slut-shaming.
Once upon a time, MacG had mocked gays on radio, sharing an audio clip by a Ugandan pastor. This provoked his employers at YFM, who wasted no time dismissing him from his role as a DJ.
Also, months back, MacG had lost a sponsorship deal with Studio 88 after making comments that many describe as transphobic.
