It appears that dream is already coming to pass for Bandile and Banele Mbere. The most recent confirmation is their going to Paris with their amapiano message, where they encountered American rapper Kanye West.
It was a significant moment that wasn’t lost on the twin brothers, and they shared the same on their verified Twitter account but without mentioning the American. Also, there was no mention of the possibility of a collaboration.
Major League has been on the music scene for several years. The brothers were among those who found amapiano music too engrossing not to take a dive into its orbit. They were previously hip-hop artists.
Amapiano fever has consumed them since they made the leap. Now, they have given themselves the obviously challenging task of taking piano music to the ends of the earth. And they have been doing just that, from London to Dubai to France, where they encountered Ye.
It’s unclear where their next port of call will be, but Major League DJz is more than happy to fly around the world with the piano message.
