Makhadzi Asked To Issue Apology For Allegedly Lying About Not Receiving Money From Open Mic Productions

Open Mic Productions demands that Makhadzi issue an apology to them after allegedly lying about not receiving payment from the profit of her music.

The drama between Mzansi singer Makhadzi and Open Mic Productions continues to unfold. Fans were shocked when the “Murahu” star announced that Open Mic Productions had renewed her contract without her consent.

She accused the label of never giving her the contract she signed and alleged that she was never paid for the profit of any of her music. She has publicly blasted the label and called to be released from her contract.

Open Mic Productions has not reacted to the allegations with a letter sent to the singer’s legal team. They claim they’ve paid her over 7 million Rands and an additional 300,000 for her house. According to Sunday World, the letter reads,

“Your client alleges that she is or was being treated like a “slave” and was not paid a single cent. These allegations are patently false and defamatory.”

“We annex hereto a schedule of some of the payments advanced by our client to yours, totalling an amount of R7,956,084,86 as well as another payment of R3005000.OO made by our client to “TW Property” under the reference ‘Makhadzi House Deposit.”

“In light of the above, our client hereby demands an apology and retraction of the aforesaid false, harmful and defamatory statements, which must be also published through your client’s Twitter and Instagram accounts.”
