Makhadzi’s New Management Set For War With Open Mic Productions Over Auto-Renewable Contract

For Makhadzi and Open Mic Productions, the record label to which she was previously signed, it is about to be an open war as she has announced that she should no longer be booked through the record label, citing that she had left it and has no business with it any longer.

The singer claimed she did not receive a cent from the record label since she signed a three-year contract with it and released four albums in the same period. She also rejected the claim the record label made that she signed an auto-renewable contract that would remain enforceable until the label decides otherwise.

She is done with Open Mic at this point and has just established a record label in her name: Makhadzi Entertainment. And the label is already angling for war. It would fight the auto-renewable contract that Open Mic Productions is pushing down Makhadzi’s throat and is currently seeking a competent lawyer to pursue the case.

Her new management is said to have received the contract the singer signed and will pass the same to their lawyers to advise them on what to do as it is now a legal matter. It would be interesting to see how the case would be resolved.
