Music producer Makwa is unimpressed Lavida Nota should mention him in every interview, and he has called out the controversial culture critic and music executive.
In a recent tweet, Makwa, who had once worked with Nota, wondered out loud when Nota would stop mentioning his name. He also wondered why all of Nota’s interviews are based on him. He ultimately urged Nota to stop.

Makwa was responding to Nota’s interview appearance on The Rea & Blvck Steph Podcast on the Everything SA Music YouTube channel during which the controversial culture critic had mentioned Nota’s name.
Nota and Makwa used to be chummy and partners at Rap Lyf, a record label that also has Kwesta as one of the executives. Makwa and Nota fell out, with Nota stating as recently as May 2021 that Makwa was a deadbeat father who wouldn’t take care of his children.
From the recent interview, it is clear, Nota isn’t done throwing verbal grenades in the direction of Makwa. But how long until they embrace amity again? We’ll bring you new details as they drop.
