Malema Reacts To Bheki Cele’s Vague Comments On AKA’s Murder Investigation

EFF Leader Julius Malema has reacted to police chief Bheki Cele’s vague comments over AKA’s murder investigations.

It has been ten months since AKA was gunned down in Durban, and Mzansi has not gotten any leads from the police on who did it. Many have voiced their frustrations over this.

Appearing in an interview with Metro FM’s Faith Mangope, Police Chief Bheki Cele shared some new information on the ongoing investigation, but not to the satisfaction of the listeners. He claimed the police were still gathering information on the murder and had spoken to two eyewitnesses who are currently under their protection.

When asked if AKA was killed by Inkabi (hitmen), Cele said, “I guess once you are hired, you are Inkabi. But some of those people were close associates [of the deceased] .” Faith replied, “So close associates of AKA were part of orchestrating the murder of AKA according to the intelligence you’ve got so far?”

Cele replied, “Let me end there. But that you have said, I think it’s enough for the public to understand that we are close to solving the case.”

Reacting to the interview, Malema slammed Cele and compared his comments to what he said about Hillary Gardee’s killers. He wrote, “He said the same thing about Hillary Gardee, the bastard. He said some people involved included high-ranking leadership of the EFF.”
