The controversies surrounding Mampintsha’s life doesn’t seem to be ending anytime soon, amidst been accused of domestic violence, now the Gqom musician has been accused of running away with particular promoter’s R20, 000.
According to reports, the owner of Gesh Lounge and Entertainment, Bhekani Ndlovu had booked him for a show at the Weekend Shutdown on the 29th of December 2019, but had refused to show up or return the money paid. In the words of Mr Ndlovu
Mampintsha told me he was booked for another gig here in Empangeni and didn’t mind coming to Gesh Lounge afterwards. He demanded I pay R20, 000 before the event.
The promoter claimed Mampintsha was paid R10, 000 upfront on December 20th 2019 and was also included in the poster as requested by Mampintsha. Ndlovu later said Mamphinsta put a call through a day before the event to request for the balance, unless he won’t be performing the show. Ndlovu said he paid him the balance on the 28th of December 2019.
Things later went south when Mamphinsta and his associates didn’t show up for the show without giving any prior notice for their absence. His absence led to the show promoter having to return the gate fee paid by the show attendees. The promoter said efforts to reach Mampintsha had been in vain and neither he nor his associates have made any comments with regards to the issue.
