Mampintsha Reaches New Milestone In Death, Babes Wodumo Celebrates At His Graveside (Video)

Gone but not forgotten. That is one phrase that best describes South African singer Mampontsh, who died on Christmas Eve last year. At least he is still very much alive in the heart of the widow he left behind, Babes Wodumo.

The “Gqom Queen” decided to celebrate her man after he reached 10 million streams on YouTube. So she made it to his grave and popped a bottle of wine in celebration. The clip of that moment was shared on TikTok and provoked an interesting conversation among users.

That wasn’t the first time the songstress had visited her late husband’s grave, however. On Valentine’s Day this year, she had visited his grave with flowers, noting that she would forever cherish the times they shared until his sudden death.

Mampintsha, who was part of a Kwaito collective called Big Nuz, had suffered a mild stroke last year and was rushed to the hospital. He, unfortunately, didn’t survive. His death came as a shock to an industry that had faced so many deaths already.

But as Babes Wodumo indirectly reminds the world almost every day, her husband’s legacy is pretty strong and would likely still be humming in many years to come. Yup.
