The drama continues in the Mampintsha household, with news flying around that the mother of the late Big Nuz member has suffered a stroke.
Mandla “Mampintsha” Maphumulo suffered a mild stroke recently and passed away soon after, throwing South Africa’s music scene into a state of mourning. The musician has since been buried, with a memorial done in his honour.
That ends it, right? Well, not really.
In a new twist to the whole story, Mampintsha’s mother herself has suffered a stroke and has reportedly started begging for money to cover her hospital bills.
Some sources claim that Gumede had actually been ill before her son’s death but that things got worse after he died. It is also claimed that she had liver complications but things have gotten worse with her health.
One of Gumede’s children, Pink, revealed that her mother needs serious medical attention in a private clinic but can’t get that because of a lack of money.
One person who is yet to publicly react to the news of Gumede’s reported stroke is Babes Wodumo, her daughter-in-law and Mampintsha’s wife until his death. It remains to be seen what the coming days hold for the Mampintsha household. Stay tuned.
