Mampintsha’s Mother’s Funeral: Babes Wodumo Promises To Take Care Of Family, Reveals What She Did

It’s been weeks of heart-wrenching trouble – from death to death in the family – but South African singer Babes Wodumo is trying to find the strength to push ahead with life. The celebrated singer has just announced that she will be taking care of Mampintsha’s family.

The announcement came just after she made it public that she is the one who paid for her mother-in-law Zama Gumede’s funeral.

Before then, many people across social media had thought she would not be attending Zama’s funeral because the two didn’t have the best relationship until her death. At some point, it was even rumoured that she was barred from the funeral.

Those claims have turned out to be untrue, as the “Gqom Queen” was part of the funeral ultimately. During the funeral, she pledged to take care of the late Zama’s family. In the same breath, she revealed that she paid for the late Zama’s funeral because she loved her.

Zama Gumede reportedly suffered a stroke and was hospitalised just weeks after her son and Babes Wodumo’s husband Mampitsha had a minor stroke and passed away. Zama didn’t survive her affliction, unfortunately.

It remains to be seen how Babes Wodumo lives up to her promise.
