Mandela’s Grandson Mbuso Granted Bail After Firearm & Drug Possession Charge

The late Nelson Mandela’s grandson Mbuso Mandela has been granted bail after being detained for possessing an unlicensed firearm and what’s suspected to be drugs.

On his arrest and detention, as well as eventual release on bail, the Mandela family has been quiet as a collective.

However, Mbuso’s brother Ndaba Mandela confirmed on the morning of yesterday, May 6, that he’d bailed his brother. He noted he’s been telling his brother for the past four years to be mindful of the company he keeps, and he can’t afford to pay for other people’s crap. He ended with the hope that his brother got the message this time. You can check out the post below.

Before his current conflict with the law, Mbuso has had several brushes previously. In 2915, he was accused of raping a 15-year-old girl. The case was dropped soon after, however.

Although he was said to have received R4 million from Nelson Mandela’s estates, he was arrested in 2021 for allegedly failing to support his daughter. Also, in January this year, on social media, he confessed to bearing up his girlfriend.

It’ll be interesting to see what direction his life will take after being bailed this time. So stay tuned.
