The sad news of Zoleka Mandela’s passing after succumbing to cancer hit Mzansi hard. She died at the age of 43, and her family members came out to pay their last respects during her burial ceremony.
According to recent reports, in a statement, her cousin, Mandla Mandela, has confirmed that Zoleka’s last rights were marred in controversy. Mandla was also seen leaving the church service earlier before the other family members came out as they were headed to Fourways Memorial Park, where Zoleka’s body was to be laid to rest.
The media reports that there was a purported list making rounds on social media where Zoleka indicated the people she did not want at her burial. This began the controversy. Mandla called the timing of the list’s release “unfortunate.”
