Mandoza’s “Nkalakatha” Plays As South Africa Claims Victory At RWC2023

The late Mzansi rapper Mandoza’s hit song “Nkalakatha” was played as South Africa emerged victorious following a quarter-final game against France.

Social media is abuzz with reactions to South Africa’s win at the Rugby World Cup (RWC2023). You’d think everyone is only talking about how proud the team has made us, but there’s something else.

The South African team has had a great run at the games. The team faced off against France in the Quarter Finals and won. It got interesting when Mandoza’s hit song “Nkalakatha” began playing in the stadium. Everyone who understands the song would know that it isn’t what France would want to hear at that moment.

Mzansi tweeps took to the X app and shared reactions to it. Some called Mandoza a legend and wondered if he knew what a massive hit that would unite the nation his song would become. Some hailed whoever came up with the idea of playing the song following the win.

@Notemash7 noted that “Mandoza is still firing the Springboks forward from the grave.” Other tweeps agreed that the late rapper is pushing the team from the grave after creating so much change through his music while he was alive.
