Maskandi Singer Khuzani Accused Of Rape

It looks like the specter of rape is not going to leave South Africa’s music industry anytime soon. One of the famous names in the industry, Khuzani Mpungose, has been accused of rape.

Media personality Ngizwe Mchunu made the accusation in a recent Facebook post. According to the former Ukhozi FM presenter, the maskandi artiste raped a 14-year-old girl in his home in Nkandla.

She further alleged that the people of Nkandla and even the authorities are aware of Khuzani’s crime but have chosen not to act on it. She also noted she was ready to present herself as a witness.

According to her, she use to be friends with the musician but began distancing herself after realizing he raped the teen. She also noted that she’d supported his music career because she found he was talented.

She confessed that she also helped the maskandi artiste win some awards even though he was not deserving of them. But she did that to boost his music career.

So far, Khuzani, who recently released a new album, has not responded to the allegations made against him by Ngizwe. With this allegation, he joins the league of musos who have been accused of rape at some point. Others included Jub Jub, DJ Fresh, and DJ Euphonik.
