For those who have been wondering who the players for the hip hop and maskandi teams might be, following the announcement of a match between both genres, there’s finally an answer.
A day ago, we had reported the imminent match between both genres while also indicating Inkabi Records, a record label owned by Big Zulu, used blank square boxes in lieu of names.
In a follow-up post, on his Instagram page, Big Zulu gave the first 11 for the hip hop team as Yeye Letsholonyane, Sjava, Kwesta, Kid X, AKA, Riky Rick, Zakes Bantwini, Reason, Blxckie, Touchline, and Lindough.
The Maskandi team has P. Manenzhe, Ntencane, Inkosi Yamagcokama, Njoko, Dumakahle, Ngiga, Tshatha, Mzukulu, Umapensela, Ngalo V, and Jaiva Zimnike.
The match will be held at the George Lea Park Sandton Sports Club. Spectators are not allowed at the venue, however. Those who want to watch will have to do so from the comfort of their homes, as the match will be streamed live.
Sjava and his hip hop buddies are already training for the match, as evident in the video the musoc shared on Instagram.
