Massive Search As German Tourist Goes Missing In Cape Town

A popular proverb says better a dead relative than a missing one. The reason for this is the fierce uncertainty surrounding a missing person. Could he be dead or what? How long until he is possibly found? Questions. Questions. Questions. So, some people would rather their relatives are not missing.

But life is full of many quirks, and most times things happen that no one wants or expects – like the disappearance of the German citizen Nick Frischke on a hiking trail in South Africa. He was said to have left his Airbnb in Pinelands, Cape Town, on February 14 but never returned.

On the day he went missing, he was reported to have been dropped off on the Hangberg trail between Hout Bay and Sandy Bay. And that was exactly where a search for him began when it was reported that he had gone missing.

In a new development, the Hout Bay community policing forum (CPF) noted in a Facebook post that three suspects had appeared in court on Monday and confessed to robbing the German. Two more suspects are also expected to appear in court.

Nick Frischke is reportedly still missing and his body has not been found at the time of writing.
