Master KG’s string of successes continues with a recent international certification – his very first.
His song “Jerusalema,” a collaborative work with Nomcebo, has been certified platinum in Italy. Warner Music Italy shared the good news, which Master KG retweeted with great joy. You can check it out below.
With over 100 million views on YouTube, “Jerusalema” is probably the most viewed song on YouTube by a South African. For one who is just 23, this is a particularly significant achievement for Master KG.
The Portuguese footballer Christiano Ronaldo recently shared a clip of him and his family vibing with the song. The interest in the song spiked even further and so did the streaming stats on YouTube.
Days back the American singer Janet Jackson equally noticed the song and openly endorsed it in a tweet of a clip showing a kid dancing to the song. You can check out the story here.
The excellent streaming stats of “Jerusalema” video is raking has inspired Cassper Nyovest to predict the song will soon hit a record of 1 billion views on YouTube. It would be a groundbreaking feat.
