Master KG has reached a new milestone with his “Jerusalema” song with Nomcebo – an impressive 500 million views on YouTube. Understandably, the two people behind the song are excited.
Release on YouTube two years ago, “Jerusalema” did not exactly jump to great numbers immediately. It gained traction soon after release and then blew up, making Master KG one of the most visible faces in South African music.
The success of that song has also opened many doors for the songster internationally. And the doors continue to open years after the song was released.
Reaching that milestone had long been envisioned. But more is to come. The target is actually 1 billion views. Having reached half the mark, the other half shouldn’t be far away.
In a post on his verified Instagram page, Master KG had acknowledged the song’s success, stating it was all a dream.
