Master KG Reveals How Much He Paid Burna Boy For “Jerusalema (Remix)”

Apparently Mzansi’s Master KG did not pay his Nigerian counterpart Burna Boy for the remix of the song “Jerusalema.”

The original “Jerusalema” song had become internationally famous, with several international music figures indicating interest in the song. It emerged that Burna Boy was a big fan of the song, and when he and Master KG got in conversation regarding a remix, the issue of payment never cropped up at all.

Master KG, who was in Nigeria recently, revealed this much about “Jerusalema (Remix)” in a sit-down with the country’s leading newspaper, The Punch.

He revealed that Burna Boy did the remix from his hear and not from pecuniary motivations.

By the way, featuring on a remix of an artiste’s song at no costs whatsoever is nothing new in the music industry. Artistes gladly feature in remixes, especially when they are fans of the original track. The list of artistes who have appeared in remixes without charging a few is a long one and covers all countries where music is played.
