Master KG Rules Out Drama With Nomcebo

Master KG has dismissed claims there is a conflict between him and Nomcebo, the singer with whom he had released the global hit “Jerusalema.”

While he acknowledges a misunderstanding “here and there,” he wouldn’t agree that there’s a serious conflict between them.

“Jerusalema” is the biggest song the two of them have released to date. Ordinarily, it should have been a cause for unity and celebration. But it has somehow divided them.

According to Open Mic Productions, the record label to which the two musicians were signed when they released the song, the agreement was to split the royalty from the song 50/50 between the two musicians.

Along the line, though, Nomcebo had reportedly demanded 70 per cent of royalties, which didn’t sit well with Master KG because it wasn’t part of the initial agreement. That’s the key reason for the conflict between them.

In an interview, Master KG noted that he hasn’t spoken to her in a while, but they like each other’s posts from time to time. He attributed their not having communicated to them being busy.

Still, he hoped they would one day have the chance to sit down and resolve their difference. “Jerusalema” currently has over 500 million YouTube streams.
