The plan to remix “Jerusalema” again will not surprise anyone, given the brilliant success of the original track. The song is officially a global hit. It recently hit platinum status in Italy and even grossed over 100 million views on YouTube. And the numbers are still climbing.
In fact such is the excitement about “Jerusalema” that Cassper Nyovest, another notable South African musician and founder of the Family Tree record label, has even predicted the song will hit 1 billion views over time.
By the way, Portuguese football star Christian Ronaldo recently shared the song on his Instagram page which has over 250 million followers. The song has grossed over 10 million views since he posted it, pushing the interest in the song even farther.
