It is that time of the year again when the nominee list of South Africa’s Metro FM Music Awards is dropped for the Rainbow Nation to make its pick of deserving musicians. The award is currently in its 17th season.
The Metro FM Music Awards have been around for a while and have grown in prestige as well. So there is usually great interest in who and who emerges winner at the end of the day. It is 2023 and the list of the year’s nominees has been released.
One name that cannot be missed on the list is that of rapper Kiernan “AKA” Forbes, who was recently murdered alongside his former manager Tebello “Tibz” Motsoane just outside Wish Restaurant on Florida Road in Durban. He and Sjava are the musicians with the highest nominations in this year’s Metro FM Music Awards.
