Former United States First Lady, Michelle Obama has named a song of Nigeria afrobeats star, Burna Boy as one of her 2020 workout playlist. The former first lady said that those songs give her motivation to go through her toughest workouts.
The song in question, “My Money, My Baby” is one of the top songs released by Burna Boy who is now nominated for a Grammy this year.
Burna Boy had an interesting 2019 with BET awards, Soundcity MVP awards, and Coachella performance alongside Mr Eazi. He has also recently been nominated in two categories for BRIT awards.
Last year, former US President, Barack Obama named Rema and Burna Boy’s songs as part of his Summer listening list, piquing the interest of music lovers and fans of the artistes.
Taking to Instagram to list the songs, she wrote: “It’s about that time when New Year’s goals and resolutions get just a bit harder to stick to. To offer a little inspiration, I want to share my go-to 2020 #WorkoutPlaylist with all of you. These songs always seem to give me that extra boost to get through my toughest workouts.
