Leeroy Sidambe, the boyfriend of beauty influencer Mihlali Ndamase, has been hit with a R30 million tax bill by the South African Revenue Service (SARS) for dodging taxes for about a year.
Mzansi is in shock after finding out that Mihlali Ndamase’s man, Leeroy Sidambe, is owing SARS up to R30 million in unpaid taxes. Sunday World reports that the incident made the news after SARS applied for judgment against him at the Joburg High Court last week.
Court papers seen by the publication revealed that Sidambe owed SARS over R24.5 million in unpaid personal tax. However, it hit over R30 million after SARS levied penalties on the debt of Sidambe.
The publication also reports that SARS sent Sidambe a letter on October 17, threatening to attach and sell his assets if he did not pay the total amount within 10 business days, before applying for the court judgment.
The letter read, “Overdue amount R29 955 350.74, latest account statement balance. You are requested to make full payment within 10 business days from the day of this letter of demand,”
Another excerpt also reads, “A civil judgment being entered against you in which case a warrant of execution may be issued for the sheriff of the court to attach and settle your assets.”
