Minister of Sport, Arts, and Culture Zizi Kodwa has contacted Black Coffee amid news of his severe travel accident.
Fans have sent prayers to Grammy-winning DJ Black Coffee following the news of his accident. Minister Zizi Kodwa also took to the X app to reach out to the DJ and wish him a speedy recovery. He shared that he was in touch with the DJ’s family on Wednesday night.
He wrote, “I wish you a speedy recovery @RealBlackCoffee. You have done so much to elevate South African music and take it to the world. I spoke to Black Coffee’s family last night, who are with him. All the best in your recovery, Mashiane, Zukuzela, Masiyana.”
A statement about the accident was shared by Black Coffee’s team, revealing that he had sustained injuries from the accident.
“Black Coffee was involved in a severe travel accident on a flight en route to his scheduled show in Mar del Plata. The incident resulted in unforeseen complications and left him with some injuries.”
It continued, “We can confirm that he is receiving the best possible medical attention and is surrounded by a supportive family and team. In respect to his privacy, we kindly request understanding and patience from the media and his fans.”
