South African media personality Minnie Dlamini has “set the records straight” about one of the misconceptions about her and her failed relationship with compatriot and footballer Itumelang Khune.
It has been widely claimed that the Bafana Bafana goalkeeper paid lobola for her even though they did not eventually get married. At the same time, some tweeps were claiming that the wealthy footballer did not eventually pay because she was demanding R1 million for lobola.
Well, reacting to the whole narrative during an appearance on DJ Fresh’s podcast, the mother of 1 pushed aside the claims that Khune, who is currently married to a different woman and has had children by the same, paid her lobola.
Minnie dismissed it all, stating that Khune, with whom he was in a relationship from 2011 to 2014, never paid the R1 million bride price as reported by some blogs.
However, while some of her fans have been supporting her denial of the bride price claims, her critics insisted she was paid the sum but is only pretending to be forgetful.
For his part, Khune has said nothing about the whole controversy, and it is doubtful he would be dragged to comment on it all. You can check out Minnie’s interview below.
