Since its inception years ago, the Miss South Africa beauty pageant has provided a forum for little k own and sometimes poor ladies to stand before the world and ultimately march out of poverty.
The body is about to unleash the next beauty queen on the Rainbow Nation.
To get there, there has to be a selection, and Miss SA has announced to the world that there are now top 30 in the lineup to win the crown of Miss SA.
Among those who made the top 30 are teachers, students, a forensic scientist, a real estate agent and a corporate lawyer.
The panel of judges was just as varied and included media personality Thando Thabethe, Tracey-Lee Lusty Horwitz, business executive Koo Govender, fashion impresario Khosi Nkosi, and businesswoman Makhosazana Zwane-Siguqa.
The general public is encouraged to vote for their favourites to win. Voting started on May 16, 2022, South African standard time, and will continue until midnight of June 10, 2022.
The first vote is free. However, for subsequent votes, peeps would have to fork over a few rands. 1 vote goes for R 3.99, and the 190 votes bundle goes for R499.99.
Expectations are high as Mzansi begins another of unveiling its next beauty. But who will win?
