Notable South African polygamist Musa Mseleku got South African talking recently after he seemingly joked in a now-viral clip about dating Babes Wodumo, whose husband, Mampintsha, died recently.
Mampintsha, a member of the South African band Big Nuz, had a stroke recently and was rushed to the hospital. He, unfortunately, didn’t survive it. Since his passing, there has been one drama after the other among members of his family.
Mseleku appeared to have joined the whole drama with the recent clip. In that clip, he could be seen discussing with his first wife, MaCele. “Ngeke,” a song by Mampintsha, formed part of the conversation and ultimately led to Mseleku’s joke about dating Babes Wodumo. Babes Wodumo has been mourning her late husband her own way – and it has certainly left her mother-in-law (Mampintsha’s mother) unimpressed. She had accused the “Qqom Queen” of drinking and partying hard when she should be mourning her husband in traditional clothes.
Well, Mseleku’s joke about dating the singer amused some South Africans, while others find it in bad taste because the “Wololo” hitmaker has only recently been widowed. It remains to be seen what else Mseleku has under his sleeves.
