Media star Mohale Motaung has permanently shut down his Joburg restaurant after one year of operation.
Mohale Motaung has faced so much challenges since he began running his restaurant in Johannesburg. Despite hosting top stars and being a place to be, the star battled things like load-shedding, competition, etc. Zimoja now reports that he has had to close the business, Fusion Cocktail Lounge, after just one year.
A close friend of the star told the publication, “Running the restaurant became challenging due to factors like load shedding, competition, and financial difficulties.”
We hear he opened the restaurant months after his divorce from Somizi. The source said, “It was a personal project, something that Mohale wanted to do for a long time, even before his relationship. He wanted to open his own restaurant. But we all know the restaurant business is not as glamorous as it seems on the outside.”
Mohale finally decided to close the restaurant. “But he decided to permanently close down. Staff was not paid, stock needed to be bought and rent does not come cheap especially when it comes to load shedding and using generators- it became expensive to run. The place would be closed a lot of the time and customers would stop coming because of that.”
