It’s no longer news that Mohale Motaung and Somizi Mhlongo are no longer an item – not lovers and certainly no longer friends. But here’s the news: Mohale has much to say about his failed relationship with his wife, Somizi.
Before the two split acrimoniously, an audio had leaked of Mohale sharing some challenges he had in his relationship with Somizi, including (allegedly) physical abuse on the part of the Idols SA judge.
The allegations were pretty weighty at the time – so weighty that Somizi lost his seat on the judging panel of the reality show and the show even announced it was doing away with their relationship as a result. Along the line, though, the show had gotten him back.
Anyway, in his no holds barred interview, Mohale gave a lot of insight into his life and his relationship, noting that Somizi’s friends who publicly expressed hate for him were actually the ones who encouraged him to remain in the relationship despite the evidence of constant abuse.
Mohale also implied that Somizi is a controlling lover who would go behind his back to speak to his boss. It was deeply revealing and gives context to his failed relationship. The full clip is available below.
