More Than 15,000 People Sign Petition Demanding Justice For Slain Rapper AKA

He was gruesomely murdered over a month ago, his blood splattered on the street after some hitmen pulled the trigger at him at point-blank range just outside a popular restaurant on Florida Road in Durban. Thus ended the brilliant rap career of South African musician Kiernan “AKA” Forbes.

The months have passed and South Africans are yet to get over the muso’s killing. In fact, a petition has been opened to get justice for him and many have signed it already. At the time of writing, more than 15,000 people have signed the petition to get justice for the musician.

This comes amid mounting displeasure among fans who believe that the police are not doing their job as they should despite assurances that they are on top of the situation/

It had earlier been reported that the police had made a couple of arrests, but the SAPS denied the arrest even though three of the persons arrested were later released and one of them was retained in custody.

AKA’s murder was one of the biggest shocks of February because it came just months after another celebrated musician. DJ Sumbody (real name Oupa John Sefoka) was murdered.

Hopefully the petition makes the right impact and AKA’s murdered are unmasked soon.
