Well, this reality is playing out with the DStv series “Gqeberha: The Empire,” which is steadily losing viewers.

“The Empire” is reportedly losing viewers as a result of viewers being unhappy with the storyline. So, some of them have just stopped watching the soapies, leading to a decline in viewing numbers.
Regardless of this reality, “The Empire” still holds the number 3 spot in the viewing chart with 724,812 viewers. It lost the second spot, which it had held for a while, to “Sibongile and The Dlaminis,” which had 834 948 viewers. Well, it will be interesting to see if “The Empire” will recover its spot – and when.
