Msaki croons “Uthando Lwam,” a song for which she tapped the vocal resources of fellow South African Black Coffee.
This isn’t their first collaboration – nor do we expect it to be their last. Black Coffee and Msaki are so good together that it’s just a matter of when they would link up again.
Also, Black Coffee has a deep respect for Msaki, whom he rates pretty high. Easily the most visible international disc jockey of South African provenance, Black Coffee has got an impressive network that covers the likes of Drake and Jay-Z.
His success is so pronounced that he’s often called God’s very own. The songster brings his trademark brilliance to this joint with Msaki, creating a musical experience that’s relatable and memorable.
By the way, “Uthando Lwam” is taken from the lead singer’s “Platinumb Heart Beating” album, which features other notable voices in Mzansi music. It’s also one of the memorable songs in that compilation – among out top three, if you should ask us.
It’s hard to listen to this song and not visualize Black Coffee and Msaki together on another joint. Well, until another drop, y’all gotta take refuge in the scorcher they have just released. Come on!
