MTV Base has sparked some conversations about the industry as they released a list of the top 10 new wave MCs in the country and fans are discussing the list already.
MCs that made the list include 25K, Touchline, Flame,The Big Hash, Focalistic, De koala, Coasta Stitch, Lucas Raps, Willy Cardiac and Patrixlee, the list makes some people happy while others disagree.
Some of the industry heads did not make the list, this is because only the fast rising hip-hop artists that have proven themselves over a period of time were considered for this list, hence the new wave MCs title, It does not include artists that have been in the industry or reigned for a long period of time.

A lot of fans agree that The Big Hash on number one is a well-deserved naming but have reservations about some others even as fans of the artistes on the list continue to celebrate them.

The Big Hash is behind songs like Palm Tree, Outcast, Circles, and more, providing good vibes over the years and this recognition is truly a deserved one from MTV.
Another Big Hash fan tweeted:

Some feel that Touchline who is number 4 on the list deserves to top the chart. Other MCs that failed to make the MTV Base list will definitely be ruing their losses and it shouldn’t come as a surprise if their fans decide to protest on social media streets.
