Musa Keys Says AKA Shaped His Music

Amapiano star Musa Keys has opened up about how the late AKA shaped his music while speaking at his Grammy send-off.

The country is proud of Musa Keys as he prepares for the Grammy Awards. The star was listed among nominees for this year’s award show after bagging a “Best African Music Performance” nod for his contribution to the song “Unavailable” alongside Nigerian Afrobeats singer Davido.

Musa Keys recently hosted a Grammys send-off, which was attended by top stars, including Anele Mdoda, Zakes Bantwini, Boity Thulo, and more. The event was held at the Zioux Restaurant in Sandton.

SowetanLIVE reports that the star said about his nomination that he was over the moon and contemplated sipping something strong. He also said, “A Grammy is something I’ve manifested for the longest of times.”

He also revealed that he has always spoken about winning one. According to him, if anyone looked at his past interviews, they would see him talking about it. The star also paid tribute to the late AKA for inspiring him.

He said, “One thing that AKA said to him that I really took to heart when we were chilling; he said, “You know boy why I love your music? It’s delicious.”
