Social media has created a vast space for people to do anything anonymously, and some people have been using these platforms to bilk others while claiming to be one celebrity or the others. Cases abound of this reality.
One man who is currently reeling under this reality is famous polygamist and entrepreneur Musa Mseleku. Apparently, some scammers have been using his name and image on TikTok to bilk unsuspecting members of the public.
When he became aware of their activities, he warned members of the public to be aware of the scammers. According to him, his name and image are being used by scammers not only on TikTok but on Facebook as well by people claiming to be him.
In one particular post, a scammer had used an image of him and one of his wives together and urged those in need of money to message him through the WhatsApp contact on his profile. Musa insists he is not the one behind the account and people should not interact with it.
Musa Mseleku is a businessman, but many South Africans would tell you that they know him for being a polygamist rather than for anything business. That’s how prominent his polygamous life is compared to his business.
