We see the saying “like father like son” play out all around us, and a new example is just before us. Musa Mseleku’s Son Mpumelelo has just made it clear he would be following in his father’s footsteps in matters of marriage: He would have more than one wife.
He made this known during an appearance on the Venting Podcast with Gogo Skhotheni. The footballer, who admitted that he already has two girlfriends, also indicated he plans to have more wives than his father, who is a famous polygamist.
The 22-year-old claimed to have already started the lobola process for the two ladies in his life. Of course, it is not easy maintaining two wives. He knows this and revealed he is working to be able to take care of the number of wives he chooses to have.
Contrary to claims that his father must have sold the idea of polygamy to him, Mpumelelo insisted that it was entirely his own initiative. Also, he would not say exactly how many wives he intends to have. He merely noted it would be more than what his father has.
In that case, assuming Musa should marry more wives and bring his tally to seven, Mpumelelo would want to beat that number.
